Why Your Ekodeck Won’t Fade

Many early generation wood-plastic composite decking materials have been known to fade, which has tainted people’s perception of composite decking.

You can see from the below image that some other composite decking brands do not hold up under the test of time. As a result, a common question we get is “How will my Ekodeck look in years to come?”

In this article, we share why your Ekodeck won’t fade like other composite decking options, and examples to prove our claim.

Ekodeck is Made to Endure the Australian Climate

As an Australian designed composite decking product, Ekodeck has been specifically made to endure the harsh Australian climate.

All Ekodeck is UV stabilised and colour-fast, making sure that your deck will look great well into the future.

With decks being installed since 2009, Ekodeck has sustained its’ longevity as a composite decking product.

How Ekodeck Fading Compares to Timber

Timber decking is well known to need consistent upkeep and maintenance to keep it looking good, as well as keep it protected from the elements.

If a timber deck is left to the elements without the proper maintenance, it will fade grey and it will weather, with the potential of other unappealing effects.

Comparatively, to keep Ekodeck looking fresh, a general clean every now and then is usually all that is required.
